The need to implement a “People Mover” link between the Pisa station and the airport has led to the need to architectonically redesign the entire architectural complex. The intervention consists in the design of an external “skin” covering, unifying the current body of the airport with the new arrival structure of the People Mover. The new coating allows a cognitive filtering of sunlight and attributes a modern, fluid, dynamic and unitary design to the new airport of Pisa.
